Obituary of Albert Oscar Turner

Albert Oscar Turner age 68 of Clinton, TN passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at his home in Clinton. Albert was a former City Councilman having held the office for 2 terms. He also served as a Clinton City police officer for 26 years. Albert enjoyed visiting with friends and talking politics. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Turner, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Albert is survived by his brothers, Sam Turner Sr. and wife Una Faye of Los Angeles, California and Melvin Turner of Oak Ridge, TN; sisters Regina Smith of Oak Ridge, TN and Renaldo Hall and husband John ; nephews, James Turner, Keith Turner, Sam Turner Jr., Victor Smith, Reginald Underwood, Aaron Underwood and Shanton Bledsoe; nieces, Geraldine Turner, Linda Turner Perryman, Denita Roberts, and Nicole Bledsoe as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Albert’s family will receive his friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from noon – 2 PM with his funeral service immediately following at 2 PM in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Bill Caldwell officiating. Albert’s interment will follow his services at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
