I didn't know Mr.Turner at the time but years ago when my dad passed away and we was going through Clinton on the way to the cemetery I noticed a young police officer standing beside the road and he not only saluted my dads coffin as it passed by but saluted the entire funeral possession as we passed by and I ask if any one knew him and was told his name was Albert Turner.I will never forget how polite he was to us and for taking the time out of his schedule to respect my dad. Rest In Peace Mr. Albert Turner. Prayers and thoughts for your family.

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Albert. I met him when we were both law enforcement officers. He was with the city and I with the county. He always had such a big smile, and was always friendly. We worked on a few cases together, and by me living in the city, our paths crossed many times. He was so kind to my Dad when his health was failing, and for that, I will always be grateful. I chose to never discuss politics with Albert, because he was so passionate, I knew I would never win the discussion. Lol! Another friend, and law enforcement brother gone. RIP Albert

RIP Albert! Everybody and anybody that grew up in Clinton in the 70's and 80's knew this man for several reasons; one that comes to mind is that he was everybody's favorite Cop and two he just had a special way of making everyone not only feel safe but good. When you spoke with Albert or when he spoke to you it just seemed you were always smiling - Albert was the Clinton Community and he loved it; my thoughts and prayers are with his family and I have nothing but the fondest memories when I think of big Al!

I'm very saddened by the passing of Albert. I had the pleasure of working many, many hours with him at Clinton Police Department. Albert came across as a stern and uncaring person on calls but I saw his soft side too. He did what he needed to do to contain a situation but he had a kind word for almost anyone he had to take into custody. His humor was exceptional. And what a great laugh he had! I'm very glad he is pain free now. He was also a very close friend to my late Great Uncle, "Buster" Nichols in Oak Ridge and they had lots of good times. My deepest sympathy to his family and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Albert on his first day as a police officer when Roy Roach introduced us. I knew then he would be one of the best, which he was! He was a great friend to have when you needed one the most!!! Always there to listen or give a big hug. That would always make whatever was wrong right again. I will greatly miss him and especially his larger than life laugh!!! Praying for the family!
