I feel so fortunate to have known Steve for the last 9 years. He always had a smile and a hug when he came to Nashville for board meetings and was an invaluable asset to our board. He treated me as a friend and my life is better because I knew him. He is truly missed.

I've truly missed Steve's face at the last several Legal Aid board meetings. He was a bright addition to our Legal Aid family. Once again I'm sorry to say goodbye to a member of the Rhodey family. Love to you all.

The Clinton community lost a very good friend. Personally, I lost a good friend. We shared many conservations together over the past 40 years. Competed against each other and still remained good friends. I loved to hear his version of how good Jason was at football. I remember one time we were at Lake Front Park.. Ronnie Williams was playing Lanser and I was in third base dugout running my jaw. Steve was coaching third when their player hit a home run. As he rounded third Steve said to me "you better run he is going to come back and get you". I ran all over the hill the rest of the night. We have laughed for years over that story. What a good friend. I will miss him. One thing for sure, heaven gained a great man and a very good story teller.

My deepest sympathy to Steve's children and family. I was honored to know him and graduate with him at Clinton. He had been a friend since 1965. He loved sports and especially softball and baseball. He will be missed by many.
