Obituary of Jean Messamore

Jean Parton Messamore age 62 of Clinton, TN passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home. She was a member of Clinton Church of God and had been a Sunday school teacher. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Parton and Doris Moore; and her grandmother, Ellen Loveday whom she was very close to. Jean is survived by her husband, H.L. "Vern" Messamore of Clinton, TN; son, Scott Messamore of Clinton, TN; daughter, Stephanie Messamore of Oak Ridge, TN; sisters, Ann Pressley of Clinton, TN, Faye Bice of Heiskell, TN, Wanda Steelman of Oliver Springs, TN, Louise Parton of Sevierville, TN; step father, Jess Moore of Clinton, TN. Jean also leaves behind her dog, Sassy and a host of other relatives and friends. Jean's family will receive her friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, January 27th at First Wesleyan Church in Clinton, TN. Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28th at First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Sam Condon officiating. Jean's interment will be immediately following her service at the Farmers Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
