Obituary of Samuel McMahan

Samuel Scott McMahan Sr. age 90 of Lake City, TN departed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday March 25, 2013. He was a World War II veteran. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Cora McMahan; daughter, Debbie Jackson; brothers, J.D., Avery, and Bill and sisters, Louise McMahan, Pearl Shultz, Marie Lindsey and Lucille Housley. He leaves behind his wife Sandra and children, Samuel (Rita) McMahan Jr., Judy (Roy) Sizemore, Pam (Dale) Elrod, Peggy (Glen) Gardinier, Ginnie (Ricky) Irwin, Lynn (Angie) McMahan, Lisa (David) McGhee, Susie Burks and Curtis McMahan; brother, Carl McMahan and sister, Grace (Ray) Ohmstede as well as 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other friends and relatives. Sam's family will have a graveside service at the new East TN State Veterans' Cemetery Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 1:30 PM with full military honors.
