Obituary of Andrew Taylor

Rev. Andrew J. (Jack) Taylor age 84 of Clinton, TN passed away on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Windwood in Clinton. Jack loved fishing, gardening, and watching girls softball. He pastored New Home Baptist Church in Andersonville, Dutch Valley Baptist Church, Community Baptist Church in Maynardville, TN, Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City, TN, and Stanfield Baptist Church in Elk Valley. Jack was currently a member of Hinds Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Eastern Star and Briceville Masons Crystal Lodge# 616. Jack was a loving father, grandfather, & great grandfather. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center-Windwood for their wonderful care. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Taylor; children, Carol Ann Taylor & Peggy Jean Taylor; grandchild, Brian Keith Taylor; brother, John Wesley Taylor Jr. & sisters, Viola Hansard, Katherine Braden, Alma Jane Hilshorst, & Alice Taylor. He is survived by wife of 62 years, Dortha Taylor, Clinton, TN; sons, Bobby Jack Taylor, Clinton, TN; Harold Franklin Taylor, Cartersville, GA; daughter, Mary Bronwyn Bunch (Rev. Jackie Bunch), Clinton, TN; brothers, William (Bill ) Taylor & Carl James Taylor, Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Heather Tolley, Samantha, Andrew, Lance, and Tara Taylor, Bethany Johnson, Kayla Livingston, Marcus Bunch, & Samantha Harris; great grandchildren, Allison, Drake, & Aliveah, & a host of nieces & nephews. Jack's family will receive his friends on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5:30PM-7:30PM in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30PM followed by his funeral service with Rev. Scott Jones and Rev. Floyd Scarbrough officiating all in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. His interment will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 1:00PM at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, TN with full military honors.
