Obituary of James Koontz

James (Eddie) Koontz age 41 of Clinton, TN passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Eddie lived for his girls and his wife Leann who was his best friend since she was 15 years old. He was a UT football fan, loved the beach, camping, and fishing. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gladys & Dub York, and JB & Irene Koontz; niece, Nicci Smith; father in law, Wayne Ferguson; aunt, Joyce Conaster; and uncle, Jeep York. Eddie is survived by his parents, Roy and Barbara Koontz of Knoxville, TN; wife, Leann Koontz of Clinton, TN; daughters, Haley Koontz, Chasity Koontz, JuliAnna Koontz, and Sydney Koontz all of Clinton, TN; sisters, Tracey Key & husband Robbie of Knoxville, TN, and Tammy Smith & husband Greg of Knoxville, TN; mother in law, Deloris Dyer of Clinton, TN. He also leaves behind numerous special nieces, nephews, and special great nieces and nephews. Eddie's family will receive his friends on Monday, February 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with his funeral service following at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Dr. Mike Thompson officiating. His interment will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 5th at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
