Obituary of Edna Mounce

Edna Mable Mounce age 80 of Clinton, TN passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Edna enjoyed collecting angels and dolls, and going to yard sales to find bargains. She enjoyed singing in church and was a member of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church in Lake City, TN. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Chester & Jessie Mae Nolan; husband, Frank Mounce; brother, Clyde Mounce; and sister, Christine Bridges. She is survived by, sons, Lonnie Mounce & wife Janett of Oak Ridge, TN, Chester Mounce of Clinton, TN, Billy Mounce & wife Janis of Clinton, TN; daughters, Irene Miller & husband Fred of Jacksboro, TN, Etha Pickard of Andersonville, TN, Patricia Scarbrough & husband John of Dallas, NC, Mary Currier & husband Johnny of Clinton, TN, Linda Burnworth & husband Randy of Lafollette, TN; brothers, Edwin Nolan of Clinton, TN, Avery Nolan of Clinton, TN; sisters, Betty Horn of IN, Frankie Bonjor of Clinton, TN, and Martha Hart & husband Russell of Clinton, TN. Edna also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great - great grandchild soon to be born; best friend, Mary Ruth Phillips of Cleveland, TN; dear friends of the family, Curtis & Mary Nolan, and Pete & Darlene Lowe. The family would like to thank Westside Baptist Church for their support during their time of their loss. Edna's family will receive her friends on Sunday, January 6th from 6 - 8 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary. Her funeral service will be Monday, January 7th at 1 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with her interment following at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Lake City, TN with Rev. Curtis Nolan and Rev. Pete Lowe officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
