Bobby Taylor

Obituary of Bobby Wayne Taylor

After a long, courageous battle with cancer Robert (Bobby) Taylor passed away on May 13, 2020, in Heiskell, Tennessee. Bobby was born in Clifton Forge on October 30, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denton and Marie Taylor and is survived by a sister, Barbara Allen, a brother Larry Taylor, an aunt, Velair Taylor, and cousins, Debbie Mays and Deloras Smith. Bobby was CEO of Hatfield Investments, LLC and had been instrumental in creating many entrepreneurial ventures throughout his business career. He was interested in exotic and special interest cars and was able to own many during his life. He loved bluegrass and old-time country music, was an animal lover and a soft spoken gentleman. He was eccentric and loved nostalgia. He had a keen intellect, tough negotiating skills, and extraordinary story telling ability. He had many of his stories published in his hometown newspaper. His illness denied him his final quest to return home to Clifton Forge. In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated and his ashes will come home one last time. A memorial service will be set at a later date. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charges of all arrangements.
