My father was a good man who cared for everyone he ever touched in this world. Dad taught me many life lessons along the way and I will sorely miss him. What makes this whole event more sad is that you never were able to meet your two amazing grandbabies and i truly wish that could've happened. I hope that you find some peace and rest easy knowing that what you taught me will live on and I love you very much dad.

Where to start because words will never be enough you've been a dad to me for so many years and a wonderful grand dad to my 5 children who love and miss you. You were a wonderful grandfather inlaw to my wife and an amazing husband and a true hero to my mom . You always stood by her no matter what happened and loved her with all your heart. You have truly blessed us with too many wonderful memories to list and we will always keep you in our hearts. I know we will see you in Heaven where you are now in wonderful health and enjoying yourself with God and all those who have gone before you. We know that we are not promised tomorrow and you helped me understand this when we talked and how you cared for those around you for you left nothing on the table and gave all you had to those around you for you knew that one day you would be going home. Papaw Gary it’s Christopher just wanna say I’m gonna miss you a lot! But I know you’re at peace resting on that mountain. I wish you could have met Hensley like you was wanting to, she would have loved you. I’m gonna miss talking to you about football and racing, and about you always asking how work is. The first time you ever went for a ride it was a real ride. That one trail took us for a ride all the way on the side but We had a blast out on the trails and on the lake fishing. I will love and miss you and getting to watch football and basketball games with you and giving you a hard time over who was going to win or lose . Fly high on that mountain.

Papaw Gary u will missed so much! We had such good times together from football,cookouts,bingo and to just giving each other heck! You was such a great papaw to the kiddos. It won’t be the same at the house without you! Diamond has been keeping your spot warm hoping u could come back to it but God needed you! U r so much better off now! U will never be forgot and every football and basketball game I may just have to start cheering for KY for you.... I still got that Bama beanie I’m not going to say I’ll be supporting them but on my bad days of missing you it will be on my head!! As of right now looks like it may be stuck there for a bit! Man I love u so much! Fly High!
