Obituary of Murdis Daniel Phillips

Murdis Daniel Phillips age 48 of Rocky Top, TN passed away suddenly on July 24, 2018 at Tennova LaFollette Medical Center in LaFollette, TN.  Daniel enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. His grandbabies were his life. Daniel was always willing to help people and really enjoyed working on cars. He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Daughtery and the mother of his children, Tracy West Phillips.

Daniel is survived by his father, Murdis Phillips of Rocky Top, TN; wife, Cora Phillips of Lafollette, TN; daughters, Kim Phillips and fiancé Dax Kesterson of Rocky Top, TN, Lois Phillips of Knoxville, TN,and Danielle Phillips of Rocky Top, TN; brother,  Dale Phillips and wife Cathy of Rocky Top, TN; nephews Dustin and DJ Phillips of Rocky Top, TN; grandchildren, Brandon, Nevaeh, Christian, and Ethan Phillips, Jacob and Bella Jordan and Tyler and Katie Jackson; special friend, Johnny Jones; cousins, George Stooksbury and Margie Johnson as well as many other relatives and friends.

Daniel's family will hold a celebration of life service for him on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm at the Conference Room at Norris Dam Park in Norris, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
