Obituary of Edward Mayes

Edward Lynn Mayes Jr. better known as Eddie age 42 of Maryville, TN passed away suddenly Friday, October 26, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. Eddie loved his family and would always put others before himself. He was an avid UT football and wrestling fan. Eddie enjoyed gun shows, fishing, and bingo. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City, TN. Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Mayes; uncle, Isaac Duncan; grandfather, Horace Mayes; grandmother, Susan Beach; aunt, Bonnie Beach; grandmother, Bonnie Mayes; aunt, Edna Duncan; wife, April Mayes; brother, Robin Wakefield; and sister, Susan Mayes. Eddie is survived by his parents, Jim & Cheryl Mayes of Clinton, TN; sons, Joshua Daryl Mayes, James Edward Mayes, Brandon Allen Mayes all of Maryville, TN; daughter, Ciara Cheyenne Weaver of Lake City, TN; brothers, Steve Mayes & wife Michelle of Maryville, TN, Justin Mayes of Clinton, TN, Tyler Mayes & wife Rachel of Clinton, TN; sister, Tamra Monday & husband Gary of Clinton, TN; nephews, Kelly, Dakota, Kristopher, Keegan; nieces, Kayla, Elizabeth all of Maryville, TN; grandson, Alexander Daryl Weaver of Lake City, TN; special friend, Valerie Williams of Maryville, TN, and a host of other relatives and friends. Eddie's family will receive his friends on Monday, October 29th from noon - 2 pm with his funeral service following at 2 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Brian Brown and Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Interment will follow his funeral service at the Disney cemetery in Lake City, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
