Obituary of Dorothy Altman

Dorothy Altman, age 90 of Knoxville, TN passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Tennova Health Care in Knoxville, TN. Dorothy was a member of West Side Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and enjoyed her dog Chico. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling Warwick and Verdie Oswald; daughter, Wanda Smith; brothers, Conley and Sterling Warwick; great grandchild, Shawn Smith. She is survived by her son, John L. Smith and wife Tanya of Clinton, TN; sister, Edna Harrell of Knoxville, TN. Dorothy also leaves behind a grandchild; David Smith and wife Becky, great grandchildren; Christy Smith and Jake Smith; a special caregiver Cindy Montgomery; and a host of other relatives and friends. Dorothy's family will receive her friends on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6-7pm with her Celebration of Life following at 7pm in the Chapel at Jones Mortuary. Her interment will be private for family only at the Richland Cemetery in Blaine; TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
