Obituary of Nellie Minga

Nellie Minga, age 95 of Andersonville, TN passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Golden Living Center Windwood in Clinton, TN. Nellie was of the Baptist faith and retired from Magnet Mills many years ago. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, and helping others. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Hattie Overton; husband, Thomas Benton; grandsons, Stan and Glenn Cox; brothers, Lee and John Overton and sisters, Minette Foster, Myrtle Phillips. Survivors are son, Thomas Minga and wife Barbara of Clinton, TN; daughters, Margie Thomas of Andersonville, TN, Wanda Rhea of Clinton, TN; sisters, Mary Carter of Clinton, TN, Jeanne Wise of Galveston, TX. Nellie is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, special niece Cathy Reed, a host of other nieces and nephews, and special caregiver Patricia Foust. Nellie's family will receive her friends on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 6-8 pm with her funeral service to follow at 8 pm all in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton with Rev. Bud Cook officiating. Her interment will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11am at Weaver Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
