Obituary of Samuel Paul Ott
Samuel Paul “Hobbit” Ott, age 59, has finally found peace on this earth. He was a very proud graduate of Porter High School, class of 1976, member of the football and baseball team, attended UTK, and was a fanatical follower of the Chicago Cubs. Paul is preceded in death by father, Sam Ott and infant daughter, Tiffany Hope Ott. He is survived by mother, Pat McMahan of Powell; best friend and son, David Ott and his wife, Emily of Norris; granddaughter, whom he dearly loved, Adaira Ott of Clinton; brothers, James Ott and his wife, Louvada, of Rockford and Lester Ott, of Knoxville; sister, Amy McMahan of Lenoir City; nieces, Kayla Ott and Alyssa McMahan; nephews, Matthew Ott, Elijah Fox, and Aarron Jennings; first wife, whom he never forgot and still cared for, Rose Ferguson Seivers, of Clinton and his one true friend, Julie Sharp of Atlanta, GA. Please remember Paul’s infectious laugh, his humor, and true love for life and those around him. As Paul always said, “Let the good times roll!” Receiving of friends and family will be held at Karns Community Center, 6616 Beaver Ridge Road, on Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, just go have a good time somewhere.
