Obituary of Glenda Mae Davidson

Glenda Mae Davidson, age 76, of Clinton, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Glenda proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police, and as a soldier for the Lord. She was a member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Clinton, TN, and loved to fellowship with her church family. Glenda was very outgoing. She also at one time was a Sunday school teacher. Glenda was loved and will be missed by all. Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Glen Way; mother, Irene Duke; and brother, Richard Way. Glenda is survived by her husband, Edward Davidson of Clinton, TN; sons, Eddie Sharp of Sacramento, CA, Eric Davidson of Las Angeles, CA; brother, Everett Way of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; sister, Shirley Pointer of Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Glenda Sharp, Rachel Sharp, and Sandra Sharp; 5 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and church family. Glenda’s family will receive her friends on Friday, October 14, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Clinton, TN, with her funeral service immediately following at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Clayton Duncan officiating. Glenda’s interment will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, TN, with full military honors. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
