Obituary of Roy Thomas Turner

Roy Thomas Turner age 79 of Clinton, TN passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 T Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He was a member of Dixon Avenue Baptist Church in Englewood, TN. Roy was a long time employee of Anderson County Senior Center and was on the board of CAC. He was a friend to everyone he met. Roy devoted his life to all his neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Turner; parents, Carl and Violet Turner; sisters, Catherine Barker and Faye Kesterson and brother, Carl "Slick" Turner. Roy is survived by his sons, Tim Turner & wife Susie of Littleton, CO and Jimmy Turner & wife Sherry of Etowah, TN; daughter, Cherie Phillips & husband Buster of Clinton, TN and sisters, Wilma Jarnigan of Clinton, TN and Barbara Taylor & husband Phillip of Powell, TN; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Roy’s family will receive his friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton with his funeral service immediately following at 8:00pm in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary. Roy’s interment and graveside service will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00am at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton.
