Obituary of Melissa Renee Jenkins

Melissa “Missy” Freeman Jenkins age 46 of Clinton, TN passed away suddenly Monday, August 1, 2016 at her home in Clinton. Missy enjoyed gardening and had a passion for caring for other people. She was an LPN and worked in the healthcare industry for several years. Missy was baptized at and attended Eagle Bend Apostolic Church in Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jenkins; grandparents, Norman & Margaret Martin and parents, Thomas Freeman and Patricia Martin Messer. Missy is survived by brothers, Terry Sammons & wife Tina of Oneida, TN and Dewayne Freeman of Clinton, TN; niece, Paula Sammons and nephews Drake Sammons and Kevin Jett, who was like a son to her; special lifelong friend, Adrienne Rhea and a host of other relatives and friends. Missy’s family will receive her friends on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton with her funeral service immediately following at 8:00pm in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. David Triplett officiating. Missy’s interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jones Mortuary at 375 N. Main St. Clinton, TN 37716.
