Obituary of Roscoe Mitchell

Roscoe Mitchell, age 78, of Clinton, TN passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Roscoe was a member at Antioch Baptist Church. Roscoe loved having coffee at McDonald’s in the mornings and riding his Harley, cars, and witnessing for the Lord, enjoyed life and loved his family. He worked at GM for 32 years providing for his family. He was a member of Free Masons for 52 years, Local 579 UAW. He is preceded in death by father, Herman Petti bone Mitchell; mother, Marie Louise Rigney; four brothers; four sisters and two infant siblings. Roscoe is survived by his wife: Sharon Mitchell of 55 years of Clinton, TN; son, Timothy Allen Mitchell and wife Dotie of Clinton, TN; daughter, Michelle Delius & husband Mike of Seymour, TN; sister, Ruth Lawson and husband John of New Tazewell, TN and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Roscoe’s family will receive his friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton with his funeral service immediately following at 3:00pm with Rev. Gary Swaggerty officiating. Roscoe’s interment will follow his funeral service at Black Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton.
