Obituary of Anna Ruth Currier

Anna “Ruth” Currier age 81 of Clinton, TN passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at her home. Ruth was born on August 15, 1934 in Coal Creek, Tennessee. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was loved by everybody. Ruth enjoyed bingo and going to yard sales. She was of the Baptist faith. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Maude Smith; brothers, Harrison Eugene Smith, Chester Smith, and sister, Ella Rose Cox. Ruth is survived by her husband, Charles Currier of Clinton, TN; sons, Edward Smith of Clinton, TN, Johnny Currier and wife, Mary of Clinton, TN; daughter, Rebecca McKenzie of Clinton, TN; brothers, Audrey Smith of Clinton, TN, Roger Smith of Clinton, TN, Roy Smith and wife, Trula of AL, Charles Smith of Winston Salem, NC; sister, Wilma Bailey of Clinton, TN; grandchildren, Cynthia Inklebarger, Tonya McKenzie Jackson, Bridgette Woods and husband, Derrick, Preston Phillips, Johnny Jr. Currier; great grandchildren, Samantha Ballard, Eric Jones, Brandon Dye, Brittany Scalf, Brandi Dye, Hailey Currier, Hunter Currier, Logan Tidwell, Justin Tidwell, Cameron Phillips, Cordelle Phillips, Michael Phillips; great-great grandchildren, Elliott Barnett, Tryston Dye, Axel Jones, Andrea Scalf, Morgan Ballard, and Austin Ballard. Ruth’s family will receive her friends on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with her funeral following at 8:00pm with Rev. Richard Pate officiating. Ruth’s interment will be at 1:00pm on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Woodhaven Memorial Garden in Claxton, TN.
