Obituary of Charlie Flynn

Charlie Flynn age 53 of Clinton, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital North Knoxville in Powell, TN. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was proud of raising his kids. He loved music, sports, fishing, cooking, NASCAR racing, and his dogs. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Dorothy Lewis. Charlie is survived by his wife, Vesta Flynn of Clinton, TN; sons, Brian Flynn & wife, Halee of Nashville, TN, Kyle Flynn of Bellvue, OH, Richard Moseley of Clinton, TN, and Ryan Moseley of Clinton, TN; daughters, Jamie White and husband, Kenneth of Clinton, TN, Tasha Spann and husband, Kevin of Kinshasa D.R.C., Africa, and Brandy Miller and husband, Travis of Clinton, TN; brothers, Bill Lewis of Norwalk, OH, and Dave Lewis of Norwalk, OH; sisters, Roma Barnett of Norwalk, OH, and Reba Braden of Clinton, TN. Charlie also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; numerous adopted children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives; special friend, Kenny Collins of Oliver Springs, TN; many neighborhood friends and several friends at CVS,BP, and Food City in Clinton. The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff of Select Specialty Hospital North Knoxville in Powell, TN for the special care they had given Charlie, and his family doctor, Dr. Wendy May of Clinton Family Physicians. In lieu of flowers donations can be given towards Charlie’s services at Jones Mortuary, 375 N. Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716, or to Ideal Veterinary Hospital, Honor of Charlie Flynn, 244 Brisbane Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 for the Gracie Fund that will contribute to animals and their owners who cannot afford adequate veterinary care. Charlie’s family will receive his friends from 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the chapel of Jones Mortuary, with his celebration of life to follow at 3:00pm. Casual attire is preferred. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
