Obituary of Burnice Ann Hastings

Burnice Hastings age 65 of Clinton, TN passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Tennova North Medical Center in Powell, TN. Burnice was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and was proud to be a grandparent. She was adventurous and enjoyed traveling, riding through the mountains, and going to car shows. Burnice was preceded in death by her father, Burnes Hastings; and grandson, Travis Gibbs. Burnice is survived by her mother, Lillian Gibbs of Clinton, TN; son, Davey Hastings of Powell, TN; daughters, Jewellynn Ellis of Athens, GA, and Pauline Gibbs of Clinton, TN; brothers, Tony Hastings and wife, Jonie of Rocky Top, TN, and Dean Hastings of Clinton, TN; sister, Jewell Cantrell of Claxton, TN. She also leaves behind life partner, Audrey (Smitty) Smith of Clinton, TN., grandchildren, Alisha, Amber, Chapin, Misti, Shauni, Dewayne, Danielle, Dakota, Ian, David, and Mercedes; great grandchildren, Dylan, Lil Travis, Jalynn, Maddi, Harley, Annabella, Mia, Gabe, Haven, Zaden, Kyrian, Ashton, Bryton, Kaven, Lilly, Malikae, and Kyson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Burnice’s family and friends will have a Celebration of Life for her at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Keith Robinson of New Life Nazarene Church officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
