Obituary of Carolyn Ruth Wilkerson

Carolyn Wilkerson, age 65 of Corryton, TN passed away on Friday, November 06, 2015 at her home. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed canning, and loved her grandkids. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, John & Marie Shope; husband, Kenneth Wilkerson; son, Kenneth Wayne Wilkerson; daughters, Amy Marie Wilkerson, Carolyn Jean Wilkerson; brothers, Billy Shope, Jan Shope, Jimbo Shope; grandchildren, Kenya Wilkerson, and Terry Wayne Wilkerson. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Randy Wilkerson and wife, Annette of Clinton, TN, Tim Wilkerson and wife, Sabrina of Corryton, TN, Scotty Wilkerson of Corryton, TN, Marty Wilkerson of Powell, TN; daughters, Barbara Collins and husband, Rod of Grainger County, TN, Tammy Wilkerson of Corryton, TN; brothers, A.G. Shope of Corryton, TN, Tom Shope of Maynardville, TN, Sonny Shope of Maynardville, TN; sisters, Pat Bailey and husband, Esco of Maynardville, TN, Teresa Hatmaker of Andersonville, TN. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Carolyn’s family will receive her friends in the chapel of Jones Mortuary on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with her funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Ed Seiber officiating. Carolyn’s interment will be on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 12 noon at the Welch Cemetery in Maynardville, TN. Pallbearers will be, Randy, Marty, Tim, Scotty, Rod, Travis, and honorary pallbearer, Steven. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
