Kay I was privileged to be your sister in law for 30+ years and in the past few months we spent a lot of time together. You exhibited such courage when faced with the horrible disease of ovarian cancer. No complaints from you, you did what you could to stay with us. You were positive in spite of many set backs and fought valiantly till the end.
I wish we could have gone to the Look Good Feel Better makeup session at the
Cancer Society. We would have had fun, like we did when we went to pick out your wig. You had fun trying on blonde and brunette, but, of course, got the red one that matched your hair almost perfectly.
When I am feeling blue, I will think of that little kid with cancer or alopecia running around with a head full of beautiful red hair donated by you.
Your Daddy knew you were coming soon. Before he died a few weeks ago, he told the funeral director at Barbourville to give me a message.
That message was delivered to me last night . Your daddy knew that we would be bringing you there soon.
You will be in our hearts always. We will see you again.
DeAnna

In addition we forgot to mention that Kay helped run their business in Clinton from 1993-2010 and enjoyed target shooting with Stephen and " the boys" . She was an excellent shot with a .22 and her favorite German Makarov pistol. She was a employee of Mid-State
Durakon and Allied Digital until they closed their Clinton operations.
Kay was a Life Member of the National Rifle Association , The Anderson Co. / Oak Ridge
Humane Society, The Humane Society of the U.S., The Sierra Club, and the Marine Corps
Heritage Foundation. She was a die hard fan of both U.T. and U.K. football and basketball.

Kay words can'not express my sorrow at your passing from this life to the next so soon and so quickly. No one can be prepared for such a great loss but I promise to do the best
I can to carry out our plans for the future and take care of the ones you loved. To carry on without you will be the hardest thing I've ever done because I always expected to go first.
I hope to be considered worthy to join you before long because you are the finest person I
ever knew or ever hope to know. Bye for now; your loving husband forever, Stephen and
our loving babies; Harry, Sammie, Ernie, Milo, Abby and Mazie.
