Obituary of Miranda Jo Powers

Miranda Jo Powers, age 29, of Clinton, TN passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Miranda was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, granddaughter, and friend. She loved music, modeling, art, and dancing. Miranda is preceded in death by her grandfather, Stannie Morton; brother, Jimmy Silcox; uncles, Jo Taylor, and Tim Webber; and grandmother, Kay Dotson. Miranda is survived by her mother & father, Tammy and Skeeter Dotson, father & stepmother, Billy and Charie Powers, daughters, Chloe Powers and Hailee Day; very special sister, Melessa Byrge; brother, Larry Powers; grandmother, Anna Lee Morton; grandfather, Isaac Dotson; grandmother & grandfather, Vera Lynn and Terry Gross; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Miranda’s family will receive her friends on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mitch Shelton, and Rev. Sam White officiating. Miranda’s interment will immediately follow her funeral service at the Dotson cemetery in Clinton, TN. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jones Mortuary, 375 N. Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
