Obituary of Charlene Turpin

Charlene D. Turpin, age 73 of Heiskell, TN passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Tennova North Knox Medical Center in Powell, TN. Charlene was a member of Heaven’s View Missionary Baptist Church. She was devoted to her church and her family. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zollie Kidwell; 1 brother and 1 sister. Charlene is survived by her husband of 55 years, A.L. Turpin; daughter, Margie Pike of Heiskell; sons, Harold Turpin of Heiskell, Donald Turpin of Powell, and Billy Turpin and wife Rebecca of Strawberry Plains; 7 sisters, 9 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Charlene’s family will receive her friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11am at Heaven’s View Misssionary Baptist Church in Caryville, TN with Rev. A.L. Turpin, Rev. Donald Turpin, Rev. Danny Buchanon, Rev. Leonard West, and Lois West officiating. Charlene’s interment will immediately follow at Scotts Cemetery in Oak Ridge, TN with Wesley Turpin, Michael Turpin, Shane Johnson, Tony Turpin, Brandon Turpin, Lance Hurst, Tommy Silvey, and Bill Flatford all serving as pallbearers. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
