Obituary of Dean Edward Martin

Dean Edward Martin age 59 of Jacksboro, TN passed away after a long fought battle with cancer to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Named by our mother based on her love for the famous crooner from the 50s, our brother embraced the constant kidding with humor. He was one of the funniest, kindest souls you would ever want to meet. His most favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. Dean was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Rocky Top, TN. Dean is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Edward Martin; and wife, Linda Gail Martin. Dean is survived by his mother, Opal Lee Martin of Clinton, TN; his son, Keith Martin of Andersonville, TN; brother, Rick Martin and wife Vicki of Oliver Springs, TN; sister, Denise Novak and husband, Tom of Clinton, TN. He also leaves behind nephew, Bobby Kesterson, and nieces, Alisha and husband Ken Grant, and Alyssa Novak, several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Dean’s visitation will be held at Main Street Baptist Church in Rocky Top, TN on Sunday, June 7, 2015 beginning at 3:00 pm, with his funeral following at 4:30 pm with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Dean’s interment will be on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Indian Creek Baptist Church in Jacksboro, TN at 1:00 pm. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
