Obituary of Chester Earl Hodsden, Jr.

Chester Earl Hodsden Jr. age 71 of Knoxville, TN passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side. Chester was a great provider, loved and believed in his family. He was a big teddy bear and enjoyed helping people. He was a member of Crossroad Ministries in Knoxville, TN. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Hodsden Sr. and Mattie; son, Steven Michael Hodsden; grandson, Caleb Hodsden; brothers, Terry Hodsden, Lawrence Hodsden, Ernie Hodsden; and sister, Diane Pace. Chester is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Hodsden of Knoxville, TN; sons, Chester E. Hodsden III (Miranda) of Knoxville, TN, Michael Edward Hodsden of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Marsha England of Knoxville, TN; brothers, Tom Hodsden (Loraine) of Vermont, Billy Hodsden (Robbie) of Knoxville, TN; sister, Delories Savage (Dennis) of Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Chester’s family and friends will have a celebration of his life on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Crossroad Ministries, 2815 Jersey Ave. Knoxville, TN 37919 at 6:30 pm with Rev. Charles Burton officiating. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
