Obituary of Rev. Allen Penly Osborne

Rev. Allen P. Osborne, age 71, of Powell, TN passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed spending his time with family and reading his Bible-while he also liked to hunt and fish. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Chrystal Osborne and Ruby (Wampler) Osborne; sons, Allen Penly Osborne Jr., Randy Lee Osborne, Larry Eugene Osborne; daughter, Theresa Marie Osborne; brothers, Arlene Osborne, Chrystal Osborne; sister, Janice Marie Osborne. Allen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gladys Faye Osborne of Powell, TN; daughter, Tammy Michael Moore and husband, Rickey of Clinton, TN; brothers, Kenneth “Jerry” Osborne and wife, Brenda of Clinton, TN, Ronnie Osborne of Oak Ridge, TN; sisters, Esther (Osborne) Matthews of Pineville, KY, Linda (Osborne) Churchwell of Warren, OH, Julie (Osborne) Matheney of Bell City, MO, Paulette (Osborne) Howe and husband, Roy of Maynardville, TN; grandchildren, Terry, Theresa, and Brian; great grandchildren, Richard, Christina, Dedjrikk, and Madoxx. Allen’s family will receive his friends, Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6-8pm with his funeral service to follow at 8pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Rutherford and Rev. Mark Gillium officiating. A special Eulogy will be read by Theresa Taylor. Allen’s interment will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11am at Pleasant View Baptist Church cemetery in Clinton, TN. Pallbearers’ are Terry Taylor, William Barlow, Michael Barlow, Brian Moore, Rickey Moore, and Chris Barlow. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
