Obituary of Owen Duncan

Owen Lendle Duncan age 84 of Clinton, TN passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014. Owen was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton. He enjoyed machining, camping, traveling, and "fixing" things. His family always came first. Owen retired in 1992 from Y-12 where he worked as a machinist for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Flossie Duncan; daughters, Jeannie Duncan and Terry Hill; sister, Lorene Duncan and great granddaughter, Hannah Beatty. Owen is survived by his wife, Dotty Duncan and son, Kevin Duncan (Rebecca) all of Clinton; brother, Lanford Duncan (Thelma); sisters, Lavanca Schultz (Paul) and Lavada Washington all of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Chris and Karen Beatty and their children, Alex, Eli, Andy, and Lydia; Ashley and Shawn Salem; nephew, Mike Duncan and niece, Lesa Copeland. Owen's family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. His funeral service will follow in the chapel of Jones Mortuary at 2:30pm with Dr. Mike Thompson officiating. Owen's interment will immediately follow at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
