Obituary of James Daugherty

James Daugherty age 70 of Heiskell, TN passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. James was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church in Heiskell. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. James enjoyed fishing and four wheeling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Condia and Josie Daugherty and son-in-laws, Dale Bailey and Joe Moore. James is survived by his wife, Darlene Daugherty of Heiskell; mother-in-law, Dorothy Anthony of Heiskell; sons, Harold Daugherty (Angie Berry) of Halls, Timothy Daugherty of Oak Ridge, James A. Daugherty Jr. (Tracy) of Knoxville, and Kenny Freeman (Amy) of Heiskell; daughters, Sherry Bailey, Michelle Cordell (Wayland), Jamia Montgomery all of Heiskell and Kenya Rowland of Clinton; brothers, Larry Daugherty (Vickie) and Bedford Daugherty all of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Carol Mercer (Phil) of Ohio; brother-in-law, Albert Foust (Rosa Lee) of Luttrell; dog, Roxie; 37 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and an extended church family. James' family will receive his friends on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 6pm - 8pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN with his funeral service immediately following at 8pm with Rev. Dewey Brown officiating. James' interment will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10am at Sartin Cemetery in Heiskell, TN.
