Obituary of Claude Summers

Claude Gene Summers age 73 of Clinton, TN passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his residence. Claude was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church. He was the successful business owner of Summers & Sons Monument Company for many years before retiring. Claude was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He also loved his church family and old fashioned gospel music. He loved gardening as well as turkey and deer hunting. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Georgia Summers and brothers, Cecil and Carl Summers. Surviving relatives include his wife, Carol Summers; son, Rick Summers and wife, Kim and daughter, Tina Kinser and husband, Dan all of Clinton, TN; brother, Clifford Summers and wife, Susie of Baltimore, MD; sister, Linda Robinson and husband, George of Lake City, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Summers and wife, Aliesha and Chelsey and Cody Kinser; great grandchildren, Kylee, Natalie, and Lily as well as many other relatives and friends. Claude's family will receive his friends on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6PM - 8PM at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. His Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00PM at Blowing Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Seeber and Rev. David White officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton.
