Bobby: A friend, who always had a smile for me. Whether it was a band trip to Georgia, or sitting in the cul-de-sac watching the kids play, we never had a cross word. You are missed by so many of us from the class of 70. Planning our 45th reunion will not be the same as you always knew where to go and what to do. So sorry for my friends passing. I was out of town and did not know of this. My prayers for Ruth and Lee and family. Bobby and I where friends all during our schools days till his passing .We love the same thing when it came to cars. Will miss him at the next reuion meeting he was always smileing. With the saddest of hearts and the most blessed of memories, I offer my heartfelt condolences to Bobby's entire family. It pains me severely that I was not able to make it in from Clarksville, but please know that the memories of Bobby that I so deeply cherish are only outweighed by the impact he had on my life. His hands helped to shape me into who I am today, and I could not be more thankful. I will always remember the life lessons he taught me, and I know that the trees will sing the song of his laugh as long as Scouts camp among them. I am humbled to have known him, and honored beyond words to be able to call him a Scout Master, father figure, and friend.

The day after Bethany was born in November of 1988, Bobby unexpectedly brought Mamaw Davis over to see her, this was very special because Suzie's Grandmother, as well as her mother and two sisters all came down to see Bethany at the same time. Twenty six years later that video is so very special becuase the two grandmothers, one of Suzie's aunts and Bobby have all gone to be with the Lord, but I have that very special memory of the two grandmothers (Bethany's great grandmother) sitting together holding Bethany in their arms. Bobby is taking pictures and laughing and we're all having a great time. This is my best memory of Bobby and we have it on tape.

I moved away from TN 2001 but we keep intouch thru FB. When I was down, you lifed me up. When my sister got sick and I had to put her in a nursing home you were there. You were the one that wanted me to come back to TN, you keep saying for me to come back home..... so I did ...... within a month you ask me to manage your antique store. So I did. I seen you at night for 2 1/3 year you were there when I closed. the store each night. We talked, fussing, and got mad at each other, but you were teaching me about life, You became my brother I never had. Even your mom said you are like "brother and sisters the way that you to fuss". But we cared about each other. You were always there for me and guide since I have been back. You made me feel good when you and Ruth invited to your home for Thanksgiving. I felt like a part of the family. My dear dear friend I will miss you so much. Your text, your FB text, just talking to you. I am so glad I have had the pleasure of knowing you from kindergraden. You have touched so many people. You were so kind hearted. and giving. Ruth is so lucky to have a man like you and you were lucky to have a woman like Ruth. I will see you on the other side. Please be waiting for me with open arms. Love you man.

There are no words to express how you will be missed. In the 9 years that I worked with you I had no ideal how many lives you had touched and how many people you had helped. I saw a very few of them.
