Wendell, Betty, Lesa, Kendell, Nona & Family … I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of John, he was one fine man. I remember years ago at Mamaw/Papaw’s home, John walking through the door, to me he was so tall and always had a smile on his face. My deepest sympathy to you all during this difficult time. Drifted apart from John after high school but thought of him often. We grew up at the base of Sourwood Hill and walked to school many times together. We played a little basketball too. He was a good guy.

Nona, our love and thoughts are with you. John was a great man. He was very witty and humerous. We really enjoyed visiting with him and listening to him. He always made us laugh. Doug and I were beyond saddened to learn of John’s passing this weekend. Doug absolutely thought the world of John and told funny stories often about working with him all those years at Modine.
