Obituary of Rosa Melton

Rosa Estella Melton age 102 of Andersonville, TN passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Windwood in Clinton, TN. Mrs. Melton was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. She had been a member of the home demonstration club, enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, gardening, being with family, going to church, and singing. Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Oakley Melton; daughters, Emogene Nelson & Betty Snapp and 10 brothers & sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Evelyn Hutchison, Cheryl Aslinger & husband Lonzy, Michelle Constance Murray & husband Gene all of Clinton and Janice Wetherington of Andersonville. 13 grandchildren - Bill Atterson, Chris Atterson, Ricky Snapp, Melody Archer, Vickie Caraway, Shelley Fraker, Wesley Caraway, Keith Snapp, Jennifer Hutchison, Robin Morgan, Stacy Anderson, William Anderson, and Amanda Pebley; 29 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Melton's family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 6 pm - 8pm with her funeral service immediately following at 8 pm all in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating. Her interment will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2 pm at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
