Obituary of Helen Duncan

Helen Maxwell Duncan age 78 of Oliver Springs, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her residence. Helen loved gospel music, going to church, and attending Caring Heart Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Helen enjoyed planting flowers, walking, watching wildlife, and feeding the birds. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Nellie Maxwell; husband, Johnnie Clifton Duncan and grandsons, Elija West and Thomas Tupper. Helen is survived by her daughters, Mary Burgess and husband, Kenny of Oliver Springs, TN, Barbara West and husband Archie of Clinton, TN; 14 brothers, 5 sisters; grandchildren, Patricia Byrge, James Tupper Jr., Chandra Miller, Xavier Miller, Whitney Newlon & husband Eric, Vanita Earley & husband Shawn, and Sierra West; great grandchildren, Drew Newlon, Mason Newlon, Jasmine Earley, Roy Earley, and Jazmeria Alexander, and a host of other relatives and friends. Helen's family will receive her friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with her funeral service following at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. David Keathley and Rev. Bill Wheat officiating. Helen's interment will be Thursday, October 10th at 11:00 am at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery in Oliver Springs, TN.
