Obituary of Essie Dison

Essie Bell Dison age 82 of Clinton, TN passed away peacefully with her family surrounded by her side on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Windwood in Clinton, TN. Essie's family was important to her and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great - great grandmother. She enjoyed life to the fullest, especially camping, fishing, and gardening. Before she retired she worked for the Anderson County School district. Essie is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew J. and Elsie Douglas; husband, William E. Dison; and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son, Billy Dison and wife Kim of Powell, TN; daughter, Darlene Jones and husband Johnny of Clinton, TN; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 soon to be born; and 1 great-great grandchild. The family of Essie Dison would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center for taking special care of her. Essie's family received her friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 12 - 2 pm with her funeral service following at 2 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Larry Sharp officiating. Her interment followed her service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
