Obituary of Tester Duncan

Tester Duncan better known as "Tes" age 86 of Briceville, TN passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center - Windwood in Clinton, TN. Tes was a loving father and enjoyed family time. He was a hard worker, spent many years in Ohio where he retired from General Motors, then returned to Tennessee to work as a Mine Guard in the mines and proceeded to work for the Anderson County Sheriff Department. Tes was a member of Fratersville Baptist Church, Masons Alpha Lodge # 376 Clinton, Shriners, and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He was a veteran and served in WWII. Tes was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Lillie Duncan; son, Gerald Duncan; brothers, Lewis Duncan, Calvin Duncan, and Ernest Duncan; sisters, Ada Duncan, Mary Duncan, Dorothy Duncan, Annette Duncan, and Oma Hatmaker. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Duncan of Briceville, TN; son, Terry Duncan of Lexington, KY; daughters, Wanda Duncan of Briceville, TN, Theresa Duncan of Knoxville, TN, and Jeanett Duncan of Lake City, TN. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Tester's family will receive his friends on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with his Masonic service following at 8:00 pm and his funeral service following in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Rev. Jay Braden officiating. Tester's interment will be Tuesday, September 10th at 2:00 pm at Ridgeview Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City, TN with full military honors. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
