Obituary of John Bumgardner

John Bumgardner age 88 of Clinton, TN passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved being a jokester. John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Georgia Bumgardner; wife of 58 years, Virginia Bumgardner; sons, Johnny Lynn and Gary Bumgardner; brothers, Ed and Clyde Bumgardner, and Clayton Murray. John is survived by his daughters, Kathy & Jim Cardwell of Clinton, TN, and Linda & Robert Jandzinski of Johnson City, TN; brothers, Ted and Jerry Murray both of Clinton, TN; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren; special friend, Anna Mae Brummett, and several nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers will be Mark Evans, Jon Albright, Keith Jeffers, Brian Lee, Josh Minton, Jeff Monroe, and the Honorary Pall Bearers will be Hunter Evans, Austin Minton, Colt Carson, and Ally Evans. John's family will receive his friends on Sunday September 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with his funeral service following at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Chris Albright and Rev. Donnie Disney officiating. John's interment will be Monday, September 2nd at 10:00 am at Pleasant View Baptist Church cemetery in Clinton, TN with full military honors. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
