Obituary of Peggy Murphy

Peggy J. Murphy better known as "PJ" age 68 of Clinton, TN passed away at her residence in Clinton on Saturday, June 1, 2013. PJ was a highly respected deputy sheriff for 16 years at the Anderson County Sheriff's Department and was the first female officer hired for the Clinton Police Department. She was an avid UT football fan. Peggy is preceded in death by her Grandmother, Beatrice Pyle; Father, Henry Wallace; Brother, Frank Wallace; Aunts, Katy Childs, Pauline Beeler, Dorothy Phillips, Margaret Hulsey; Uncle, Claude Pyle. PJ is survived by her Mother, Nola Wallace of Andersonville, TN; Daughters, Tracy Sadler of Alcoa, TN, Stacy Sadler Combs of Claxton, TN, Lyndsai Murphy Thoma & husband Albert of Clinton, TN; Grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor, Jordan Taylor, & Hannah Combs; Aunt, Esta Stooksbury of Caryville, TN; Special Friends, Becky Brown of Clinton, TN, Linda Martin of Alcoa, TN; Special Dogs, Chloe, Snoopy, Hank, & Bird Tee; host of nieces, nephews, and friends. PJ's family will have a memorial for her on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 12:00pm at Lakeview Baptist Church, located on West Wolf Valley Rd. in Clinton, TN.
