Obituary of Kenney Bean

Rev. Kenneth L. Bean, born February 14, 1947, age 66 of Lake City, TN went to be home with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Tennova Hospice in Halls, TN. He was called to preach in 1985, pastored 5 churches, and had a radio broadcast at WYSH and open church at Clinton Towers for 2 years. Rev. Bean was a member and deacon at Pine Ridge Baptist Church for 13 years. He worked for Y-12 in Oak Ridge for 44 years where he retired. He was highly respected and known as an expert in rabbit hunting in which he had written many articles and short stories for "The Rabbit Hunting" magazine. Rev. Bean was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Lawrence & Joyce Bean; sister & nephew, Barbara Sue and Doug Brewer; brother, Keith Bean; and son, Ken Bean Jr. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Bean of Lake City, TN; granddaughter, Trinity Bean of Lake City, TN; daughter, Janet Enix & husband, Denny of Caryville, TN; grandchildren, Alishia & Enrique Rosas of Jacksboro, TN, Josh McCoy & Fiancé Jamie Szczygiel (Rev. Bean's caregivers), Savannah & Miguel Izquierdo of Lafollette, TN ; 6 great grandchildren; stepmother, Dorothy Bean Ferrell; brother, Larry & wife Lisa Bean of Clinton, TN; sister, Sandy & husband Leonard Scarbro of Clinton, TN; hunting companions, Mike Queener & Mike Wilson both. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Rev. Bean's family will receive his friends on Tuesday, June 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with his celebration of life following 8:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Pastor J.J. Patterson, Rev. Verlan Langford and Rev. Steve Seiber officiating. His interment will be Wednesday, June 5th at 11:00 am at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
