Zach played ball with my son, Daniel Longmire. I remember him as being funny yet sweet. He was always nice. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family and his girlfriend. There is nothing I can say to relieve the pain. Just know you all are in my prayers.

Things a father can take for granted while working for his family, are the small things. One day while painting,my son Asher was constantly underfoot. Suddenly, I realized it was to quite. Asher had gone outside. I found him talking to Zach, laughing around a ball. I watched as Zachary, taught him how to dribble. With Asher's eyes full of concentration, he watched. Then with small hands he attempted. "First with your left hand," Now the other hand " Zachary coached, " Never two at a time. " As Asher looked up at me smiling and said " Watch Dad! ". Zach then looked at me and said "he's really good." Zach never told me, and I didn't find out till later, that Zach had stopped the ball from going in the street, and caught the Asher who was chasing it.

My heart and mind was flooded with memories tonight as I looked into the eyes of so many of Zach's family members. Because of my love and closeness to the Trantanella family I was blessed to also know, love and watch all the cousins grow up. I guess my favorite memory of Zack was when I was babysitting him and a bunch of his cousins. It was shower time but he didn't want to get soap in his eyes and I was having a hard time convincing him that I knew a "trick." Well...after he gave in and let me show him how I could wash his hair in the shower without getting soap in his eyes, I became a hero. Superman to be exact! As he got out he said "Miss Miss, you are just like Superman." Of course I didn't make the connection so I asked him why. His answer "because you can do anything." To Zach's family I say...you were his Superman and you can make it through this! You can do anything through Christ that strengthens you.

My heart is heavy for your family. I was so saddened by this news. My husband is Shannon's cousin & I remember Zach being at the Garofalo house when we were there on occasion. I have been praying for all of you. I cannot imagine what you are going through.

My son, Tyler Province knew Zach very well. We are heart broken and can't comprehend the pain in your hearts right now. God is perfect, His plan is perfect. Dear David, Maria, Josh & family, My heart is so sad for the loss of your precious boy Zachary. Every time I cleaned his teeth @ Dr. Bradley's office, he was always polite, super sweet and always asked about my daughter English who he graduated with. A sweet, sweet young man!
