Obituary of Helen Beets

Helen Jean Beets age 83 of Knoxville, TN passed away early Thursday morning March 28, 2013 at Tennova Hospital in Knoxville. Jean was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, but had recently been attending Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Lucille Beets; brothers, Howard, John Jr., & Ralph Beets; sister, Lois Sewell; brother-in-law, John Davis Jr.; sisters-in-law, Juanita & Erminia Beets. Jean is survived by sister, Alma Davis-Knoxville, TN; nephew, John Davis & wife Pam-Powell, TN; great niece, Brittany Davis-Powell, TN; brother-in-law, Kenneth Sewell-Forrest Park, GA; special friends, Al & Peggy Sherrill-Knoxville, TN as well as a host of nieces, nephews, & other relatives and friends. Jean's family will receive her friends on Monday April 1, 2013 from 6 PM - 8 PM in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN. Her funeral service will begin at 8 PM following the visitation with Rev. Kent Williams officiating. Jean's interment will be Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 4 PM at Clinch River Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
