Obituary of Margie Carter

Margie Carter age 82 of Clinton, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 03, 2012 at her residence. Margie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved gardening and fishing. Margie was a giver and always willing to care for the sick. Margie enjoyed writing poems and songs. She attended church services at Oasis of Love in Clinton, TN and Covenant Life in Lake City, TN. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Elsie Bumgardner; daughter, Theressia Hammers; brother, Lawarence, Hubert, and Lenoard Bumgardner. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Douglas & Cindy Carter of Clinton,TN; daughters & sons-in-law, Rebecca & Todd Farrell of Clinton, TN, Tammy & Jeff Henderlight of Clinton, TN, Jeanette & Ronnie Carroll of Clinton, TN, Jennifer & Mike Spoon of Heiskell, TN, Johnny Hammers of Clinton, TN. Margie also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Margie's family will receive her friends on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with her funeral service following at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. David Bumgardner officiating. Her interment will be Friday, July 6th at 10:00 am at the Taylor Chapel Cemetery in Clinton, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
